ABOUT OUR PROJECT

Our project in Union City represents not just an economic investment but also a pledge to cultivate strong community ties through ongoing dialogue and steadfast integrity. Our vision is deeply rooted in collaborative efforts with the community, fostering a harmonious partnership with the city, its leaders, and local residents. Our vision for this project is to transform a blighted space into a vibrant retail establishment through a significant economic investment. The support we have garnered from the Union City Chamber of Commerce, coupled with positive feedback from our neighbors, is a testament to the potential impact of Embarc's presence in the area.

Our Embarc Union City location has been carefully chosen. It far surpasses regulatory requirements for sensitive use and was selected for the opportunity it provides to meet the city’s need for economic development and geographically disperse cannabis businesses, surpassing both regulatory requirements and the city's buffer preference of 1,000 feet. Aligning with the city's vision for balanced economic development and the expressed need for geographic dispersal of commercial cannabis operations, our selection of this standalone building is intentional.

All Embarc locations contribute to their neighborhoods economically and help advance our neighbors’ safety.

  • History of Cannabis Operations in Union City

Union City has established a robust cannabis regulatory framework. Two dispensaries already operate successfully within the city, demonstrating a commitment to well-regulated cannabis businesses.

  • Meet Embarc

Embarc is a leader in community-centric cannabis retail. With 15 operational locations—including in nearby cities such as Alameda, Martinez, and Redwood City—and nearly a dozen more set to open, we have established a significant presence in the state.

  • Additional Resources

We have met with dozens of neighbors of the proposed location. Community members have asked many questions about the project specifically and about cannabis generally, including requests for studies or other information about cannabis.
